The final will be a bit different. In panel 4 Liza will say, "What are you talking about? My dad's Jewish and my mom's French-Irish." And the cricket might be replaced by a fork falling (not so certain as yet).

Promotional Comic Strip Sketch #3



I think a fellow parent assumed that since my wife (who is white) married me, then she had to be at least some kind of anomalous, ultra light-skinned African-American. A hilarious moment. The finished version of this strip will be my first submission to Swirl and Intermix.
